Aly, Thunderstorms, District Assembly, Etc.

Summer with Alyson, Our Anniversary Date, Etc.

As this is being typed, there is a raging thunderstorm outside and Aly doesn't care so much for it! Our electricity went on the 'blink' while she was having her brunch and she just couldn't understand what THAT was all about! Guess she's going to be like her Mommy and not like storms... now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a soft southern rainstorm. You know the kind, where the sheets of rain are soft as they come down from the sky at an angle, the sky is a hazy light blue and in just moments the sun is back out and warming the soul, once again. Lovely!
Thankful to God, for a wonderful hubby, a great God and between the two of them, the 'glitch' in our air condition from last weekend seems to be on the 'mend', now! Whew... what a blessing!!! Even though, I love the South and the warmth there, that doesn't mean that I want to live without AIR! (We actually have a ceiling fan on our porch, if that tells you anything!!! haha)
This past Sunday evening, we attended our District Ordination service and were able to see several people we hadn't seen in quite a while. Camp and Assembly times are just great for that sort of thing, huh? I told someone the other day, Camp should go on ALL Summer, but I guess that was just the 'kid' in me talking! We look forward to heading back to Camp Camby this week for Family Camp! We'll probably not make it to every service, but we'll certainly try!
Well, yesterday was a bit of a milestone for our little family! Aly 'joined' her friend, "Elmo" and began a process of 'more than just sitting' on her potty chair! We are so proud of her and though it doesn't seem possible that she's this grown up, we hope to have the 'training' completed before her 2nd birthday!!! She seems quite proud of herself, as well! LOL
Greg and I had an enjoyable date on our Anniversary and are getting quite anxious for our 'belated' Celebration trip coming up in September! These truly have been some of the best years, weeks, days and moments of my life. He is a wonderful daddy and an even better husband than I would've ever imagined! I stand in awe of our God and how He knows just who to put together 'in perfect union'...

Bye Bye, Friends and Family!

Well folks, after attending a friend and co-worker's Wedding tonight in Greenwood, (a Knuth/Wireman/Watts concoction), it's hard to believe it's already midnight! We're now in the process of packing 'it all up' and planning to head out of here in the morning!!! We can hardly wait to head that steering wheel toward I-65 S... too bad we're not able to go a little further south! None the less, we're anxious to get away for a few days and are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying a little 'couple' time.
We wanted to take just a second to thank all of our 'E' friends, that read our BLOGS on a regular basis and send us replies VIA 'Yahoo'! We consider ya'll just another part of our Blogger-Family and love keeping up with you, as well!
We will catch up with everyone, sometime next week, after our return on Monday night...

...hippity hoppity, Easter's on it's way!!!


(Alyson Dawn - Early Spring 2008) It doesn't seem possible, Easter is only 2 days away, now!!! We wanted to wish everyone in BLOGGERLAND a very Happy one... filled with God's promises and blessings! Take time to 'breathe in' all the beauty this Season holds!

Don't faint and fall out with this statement, but we plan to take several pictures over the Holiday weekend! Furthermore, we'll post them for you to view ASAP! We realize that we've not done a very good job lately of posting pix - having temporary 'Dial Up' being our excuse! It's amazing how our Alyson is growing, so we feel you've just got to see her! We're not in the least bit proud, either!!!

We also wanted to let you know that God has answered one our many prayers and given us a house!!! We will be eternally grateful!!! God is SO good, isn't He? We will be able to move in by the end of April! With this move, we'll once again have DSL and will in turn be able to update our BLOG and Online Photo Albums much more often! YAY!!!

Due to our 'Template' change for March and April, we have moved all of our 'former blogs' to our "Blog Archive". Please take time to view them if you have not already done so. Lots to see... photos, slide shows, etc.!

Our Change-Over to Blogspot and Alyson Dawn's Christening Service...

We have recently made a choice to settle down with ONE site to blog and post photos on. Thus, here we are on BLOGSPOT! We have had several sites over the past year and it has become impossible to keep up with them all! Our little Aly-Baby takes up most of our time now and we're NOT complaining one iota about it, either! LOL We have just had to make a few adjustments in the process!

We will be BLOGGING here twice per month for now and hope to make it more often than that real soon. We will post photos, slideshows and albums as quickly as we can, also!
WE WILL CONTINUE TO CHECK OUR FORMER SITES ONLY FOR NEWS AND COMMENTS FROM OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THERE!!!

Well, on to more important things! Alyson Dawn's Christening Service went beautifully! It took place on Sunday Morning, January 20, 2008. She looked gorgeous in her gown, the ceremony was very meaningful and spiritual, the music was perfect for the "Masterpiece" she truly is and the decorations were dainty and oh so pretty!!! We haven't even mentioned the dinner... there aren't words to say how wonderful, elegant and tasty it was! The entire day was simply awesome! We are thankful to everyone who took part and know that Aly will cherish it for the rest of her little life! We've posted a brief Christening Slideshow below... hope you enjoy taking a 'peek'! Again, thanks to all who helped make Alyson's Christening everything we ever dreamed it could be! We look forward to a new and exciting time, here on BLOGSPOT, with you our "Penn Palz"...

THE CONTEST IS OVER FOR FEBRUARY... SHE RECEIVED ALMOST 40 VOTES!!! Since she had such a high number of votes, she was registered to "win" an entry into yet another contest and from what we can tell, she had the Great American, hands down!

Where does the time go???

WOW! WHERE DOES THE TIME GO???
Well, needless to say, we are tryng to "beat" the system this week and actually get AHEAD of it for a change! It's the end of the week already... Thursday and we haven't had time to update, BLOG or anything else.
Between doctor visits, work and family affairs we haven't anything that would actually be considered NEW-news, though!
Everything is going great with myself and the baby, Greg is still enjoying his new job and we're both very anxious to get Alyson Dawn's nursery ready! In addition to getting all the 'packing' done for that exciting up-coming trip to the hospital!
Well try to do our best to 'catch up' with BLOGSPOT as we find the time...
